“A great “escape” – quiet, relaxing and a stunning seascape – wonderful!  Truly lovely – we’ve had the most gorgeous holiday. Delightful and charming surroundings, all the little things that matter – soft pillows, comfy furnishings and great hosts. Loved the fresh eggs every day! Paradise for the dog! Thank you!”

“This is our third visit to Budle Bay Croft, having stayed in Budle Falls on two occasions previously. Budle Haugh does not disappoint, yet another amazing, relaxing location. This was our “UK” honeymoon as we have just gotten married abroad and Allison’s personal touches made us feel so welcome. Our only problem now is next year – Budle Falls or Haugh??!”

-

“Lovely place; a happy and tired 2 year old makes for happy and relaxed parents!”

-

“Super cottage and the girls really enjoyed playing with Allison’s children. Just sorry that we could only make a short visit.”

-

“A most enjoyable relaxing break away, beautiful house. Our 18 month old settled in very well. We can recommend the steaks an pork pies form Carters!  We hope to come back again.”

-

“We’ve had a wonderful few days here at Budle Haugh. Being greeted with a bag of marshmallows was pure heaven! Allison and family have thought about everything and as her son said on our first afternoon “Have Fun!” – we have! The Illy Coffee from Noel at Wyndenwell is a must, so are his ice-creams. We were thrilled that Billy Shiels’ boat trips allowed pooches on board!  A real family trip to the Farne islands! We love the interiors in this cottage and the log burner has made it really cosy – thank you.”

-

“A great bolt hole, a lovely relaxing week with plenty of walking along the sandy beaches.”

-

“Fantastic place, good to be back. Amazing horsehide on Holy Island with Kimmerston.com. The cottage has absolutely everything you could want and more. We will be back soon.”

-

“What a beautiful cottage with great attention to detail. It had everything we needed and we felt really at home immediately. Great location, quiet and truly relaxing. After brisk winter walks with the dogs it was wonderful sitting in front of the log burner in the evenings – very snug and cosy! Allison is a prefect host and goes “the extra mile” to make your stay perfect. Thank you Allison for your help and kindness. We hope to come again next year.”

-

“We decided to get a week away from it all for New Year and this was the ideal place. Friends and family joined over the week and everyone was made so welcome!”

-

“This beautiful cottage was the perfect base for exploring a beautiful part of England. The kids loved the animals and it was the highlight of their stay – thanks!  P.S. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!”

-

“We have had a really lovely time. Our son loved feeding all the animals and Allison’s son really was the expert, giving us all the facts about the animals. Pigs the favourite. We’ve also loved spending time at the coast, jumping in the sand dunes, rock pooling, even jumping in the sea  (a bit of a novelty in February!). Our son wants to stay!!! Thanks for a welcoming and friendly stay!”

“Amazing break. Fantastic cottage. The children enjoyed feeding the animals, building and castles at the beach, fish and chips in Seahouses, ad Bamburgh castle with its beautiful views. Holy Island worth a visit  beautiful views. Seahouses Swallow Fish Shop very, very fresh and tasty smoked kippers and cod! We drove to Alnwick to go to the Treehouse but it was full – you need to book in advance. Allison and her family were very helpful and lovely people. We’ve had a wonderful time! Thank you very much!”

“This cottage is great, and we have appreciated its serenity away from stressed revising teenage daughters.  Thank you for a lovely stay. xxx”

“Fab toys for both girls and we were made to feel very welcome.  Think we will have to get more dressing up clothes at home! Feeding the lambs was lovely and all the outside space is great.  The wood burner got used quite a bit – very toasty :-)”
