“We have all had a wonderful week at Budle Falls and will remember it fondly for a very long time. Allison and her family have been very welcoming, kind and helpful. Their warm-heartedness made our lovely holiday even better and we are truly grateful to them. Budle Falls is a delightful cottage and proved a perfect home-from-home for us while we explored this beautiful corner of Northumberland. We loved exploring the farm and helping out with the animals. Our son had a wonderful time playing with Allison’s and the other guest’s children. There were many highlights for us but above all we loved the animals and spending time on the farm with Allison and family and learning all about them. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.” Richard and family

“Wonderful place to stay and superb location. A lot of love and passion has been put into the cottage and everything has been thought of. We can’t wait to return and will tell people what a special place this is.”  Jules and family

This is our fourth visit and our first with our daughter (1 year old) who seems to love it as much as the rest of us. We enjoyed the usual mixture of fun days at the beach and feeding the animals. Allison and family were great as ever. Hopefully we will be back again soon!

Thank you Allison and family for making us so welcome on your wonderful farm and holiday cottage. Budle Falls is delightful, attention to detail is superb and thoughtful extras are much appreciated. We are so pleased we chose to come here for our honeymoon, it’s been everything we could have wished for. So relaxing around the cottage and farm together with the beauty of the gorgeous coastline on the doorstep – this combination will have us returning again (and again!). We will be sad to leave – as will our puppy who has made quite good friends with all the animals – the pet lambs have got quite used to her!

Highlights – casual walk to Bamburgh; Ross Sands (WOW!); relaxing and BBQing in Budle Falls’ garden; watching the ducks paddle in the waterfall (so funny!); Allison’s son’s tour of the farm; fresh eggs (yum!). Lowlights – NONE!  See you soon and thanks again 🙂

A fantastic, idyllic spot to explore Northumberland!  Budle Haugh has been fabulous: friendly, cosy and Allison and family are great hosts.  Thank you for the warm welcome, toys, films and friends to play with! We are sure we’ll be back…” Lisa and family

“Utterly magical! We were lucky enough to be the first family to stay at Budle Haugh and what a treat it has been, we didn’t want to leave.  The cottage and location are first class – so much more than we could have asked for. Many thanks to Allison and family for making our holiday so special and for being so welcoming and hospitable. So many “best bits” but a few highlights include the fabulous wendy house and toys, feeding the lambs, collecting and eating freshly laid eggs…the list goes on! We really appreciated the personal touches – fresh flowers, welcome pack and the children adored the brilliant age appropriate toys. We will definitely be back! Thanks again.” Simon and family

“A great “escape” quiet, relaxing and stunning seascape – wonderful! Truly lovely – we’ve had the most gorgeous holiday – delightful and charming surroundings, all the little things that matter – soft pillows, comfy furnishings and great hosts. Loved the fresh eggs every day! Paradise for the dog too! Thank you.” Gilly and Jane

“I just wanted to thank you both for a wonderful weekend in a lovely cottage.  My friends and I have been up to that area a number of times, it is a firm favourite for relaxation and exploring.  Of the cottages we have stayed in Budle Haugh is probably in the best location for getting to all the highlights of the area and was a lovely spot to return to each evening and the best kitted out cottage I have ever stayed in. Thanks also to Ian and Jedd for the tour of the animals, that was great.” Shiona and family

“A real home from home. A lovely cottage in a lovely place. Only scratched the surface in terms of what to do here so will definitely be back!” Guy and family

“A cottage with everything. If you look hard enough you will find!  Great week, great locations, kids enjoyed the freedom of the farm and the fresh eggs daily. Great coastline, beaches and castles with Low Newton being our favourite. A really relaxing week. Thank you!” Brereton family

“A fantastic warm welcome from Allison and a great holiday with friends for our girls to play with. Gorgeous cottage with lots of attention to detail. We’ve loved our time visiting Lindisfarne, Bamburgh beach, Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle and the Farnes. Having never been before and only living a couple of hours away, we’ve decided we’ll definitely be back. Thank you Allison and family for making us feel so at home” David and family

“We have really enjoyed staying in your lovely cottage which has been very comfortable and has met all our needs. We really loved the beach at Ross because it is so unspoilt and the sand is lovely, plus the beach is quiet.  We also liked the beaches at Newton by the Sea and Bamburgh. Alnwick Gardens is fantastic for the kiddies – take along their swimming costumes and towels!  Bamburgh Castle is very beautiful and has an interesting aviation museum there as well. If you can find out when the lifeboat at Seahouses has a practice launch (usually early evening) and watch it while you have some fish and chips!  The fish and chips at The Bunker are lovely. The Swallow Fish Shop is a good place to buy some fresh fish to cook. The veg in Seahouses sells good quality produce. Trotters bakery is also good for tasty bread and cakes. Carters butchers in Bamburgh sell lovely bangers!” Edwina and family

“We have had a fabulous stay in your beautiful cottage! Too short if anything 🙁  We have managed to explore lots of the sights such as the coastal walk from Budle to Bamburgh. The boat trip to the glorious Farne Islands and the walk from Craster to Bamburgh Castle. Heading off today via Alnwick Castle. Happy days. Thanks for the lovely complimentary gifts and delicious eggs.” Nick and family
