Bari Hyrdehytte

Bari Hyrdehytte is also suitable for single travellers or couple and offers a pet friendly luxury glamping experience ideally located to explore the Northumberland Coast National Landscape. A traditionally built detached shepherd’s hut with a warm atmosphere based on the hygge design principles. Hard to pronounce, hygge (“hooga”) is difficult to explain, too. In brief, hygge is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about – or even by yourself – to relax and enjoy life’s quieter pleasures. The word hygge dates back to around 180.  Hygge interior design focuses on creating a cozy, warm, and intentional atmosphere that promotes comfort, contentment, and well-being. Core principles include using natural materials such as wood, linen and wool, layering soft textures like sheepskin and cotton to create physical comfort through “cocooning”, using warm and layered lighting, neutral colour palettes for peaceful sanctuaries, creating cosy nooks (hyggekrog) for reading and relaxing, decorated with personal touches like books and handmade items to add to a sense of belonging and nostalgia. These principles blend Scandinavian design with a focus on creating a restful, “hyggelig” (cozy) home environment. Bari Hyrdehytte takes this philosophy and blends with Northumbrian arts and crafts to create a unique, comforting and welcoming environment to enjoy your break.Features include:

  • Luxurious shepherds hut that has been hand built to traditional methods
