“We have had some lovely downtime this weekend. Our boys have enjoyed the freedom and it is brilliant to see them with mucky knees instead of technology surfing. Thank you to Allison’s children for adding to our boys’ fun.” Stephen and family, February 2015.

Everything has been perfect about our stay. The welcome tour by Allison’s 2 very polite children, picking our own eggs for breakfast and feeding the pigs. Loved woodland Wander and the accommodation is beautiful. Allison is very friendly too. Thank you for a wonderful holiday – we will be back next year!” Gemma and family, October 2014.

“The four of us; me, hubby and two children Sam aged 8 and Sophie aged 4, have just returned from a short break at Budle Falls. The facilities and attention paid to the children staying in this property are second to none. The secured gardens, play facilities, lamb, hen, pig and pony feeding all provided such a lovely opportunity and experience for them both and they loved it. We were aware that Budle Falls was surrounded by a vast amount of land but hadn’t appreciated or expected for that matter the effort and time that was to be afforded to us by Allison and her family. This is a huge selling point for this property and takes you by surprise when you get there.   We have stayed in a number of Coastal Retreat properties over the years and have always loved the experience, however, this property is definitely the jewel in the crown where young children are concerned. If you had a 6 star duckling rating then this property should get it. The sooner they complete the second cottage the better.”

“I just wanted to thank you both for a wonderful weekend in a lovely cottage.  My friends and I have been up to that area a number of times, it is a firm favourite for relaxation and exploring.  Of the cottages we have stayed in Budle Haugh is probably in the best location for getting to all the highlights of the area and was a lovely spot to return to each evening and the best kitted out cottage I have ever stayed in. Thanks also to Ian and Jedd for the tour of the animals, that was great.”

An amazing area, fabulous cottage and wonderful family. It’s so nice to have this standard of cottage that is also dog friendly. We didn’t want to leave. Thanks for a great holiday.” Ruth and family, Aug 2014.

The cottage was everything and more than we expected – beautifully furnished, fresh flowers, nice bottle of wine, every cooking utensil you ever needed, great outdoor areas with toys, books and games to keep our child happy and occupied.

“Had a wonderful time, the girls really enjoyed feeding the animals. They loved the toys and Sky TV! Cottage is lovely and it is the little touches that make the difference. Wonderful area too. Thank you Allison and daily for the hospitality, which was second to none. Hope to come back as spoon as possible.”

We had an absolutely fantastic time in Budle Falls.  It is our fist time in Northumberland and we loved it so much we have booked to come back in the summer!  The farm and cottage is fantastic for kids, dogs and adults alike.” Julie and family, October 2014

“The cottage was immaculate and smelt largely of the flowers that had been left for us…everything was supplied for us – far more than expected…especially impressed with all the added touches like the free range eggs.”
