Feeding the pigs was a great adventure as was collecting the eggs and stroking the sheep. Pooh sticks was great fun for us – not so sure about the ducks!

“Budle Haugh is just perfect. Idyllic setting and beautiful grounds and walks to explore and the bonus of the animals to hand (fresh eggs!). The cottage ticks every box. Its home form home and has everything you could ever need with the added extra of a host who has considered everything that you may have forgotten!! As a couple with a busy toddler it has been heaven – an enclosed garden, complete with a collection of toys, and a quiet and tranquil setting – perfect!  Thank you Allison for your attention throughout.” Steve and family – June 2013.
”A fantastic, idyllic spot to explore Northumberland!  Budle Haugh has been fabulous: friendly, cosy and Allison and family are great hosts.  Thank you for the warm welcome, toys, films and friends to play with! We are sure we’ll be back…”

“We had a truly amazing week at Budle Falls – a welcome break from London and certainly worth the 8 hour drive!!! Thank you so much to Allison for being so warm and welcoming and giving our city kids a real taste of country life! The highlight certainly had to be bottle feeding the orphaned lambs and waking up to discover the gorgeous new born lambs. This may be what makes Budle Falls unique. My son had a fantastic time playing war games with Allison’s son  and our daughter bonded with Allison’s daughter while bouncing (!) and looking after lambs.  Thank you too to Allison’s children for the lovely welcome and for sharing everything. We would love to cop me back here one day and will certainly recommend it to friends! THANK YOU!!!!”

“This is our third visit to Budle Bay Croft, having stayed in Budle Falls on two occasions previously. Budle Haugh does not disappoint, yet another amazing, relaxing location. This was our “UK” honeymoon as we have just gotten married abroad and Allison’s personal touches made us feel so welcome. Our only problem now is next year – Budle Falls or Haugh??!”

Caroline and family, September 2013 - Budle Haugh

This is our third year in a row in Northumberland and Budle Haugh is by far the best cottage we’ve stayed in. Just a matter of “when” rather than if we will be back! Allison has been very welcoming and a great host. Our 3 year old daughter had an absolute blast feeding the animals etc. There is so much to do around the croft and locally. Thank you!” Jacqui and family, June 2014

“Such a lovely cottage, equipped with everything we could possibly need. We especially love the playhouse and ice cream parlour – our trips to the beach were delayed each morning until we visited the “café”! Mabel our dog loved the cosy bed too! No one wants to leave…”Nicky and family, May 2015.

Fresh eggs were a delight and fun to collect. It was fun herding the hens and there was lots of fantastic play equipment. We loved Budle Peep.

“This is our second visit to Budle Falls. We have had a fantastic time. The cottage is beautiful and has a feeling of home.  The children have loved being here and we are sad to be leaving.  Thank you for making our long weekend memorable one (again). Feeding the lambs has made  my 2 year old’s year. We will be back again. X”

“This beautiful cottage was the perfect base for exploring a beautiful part of England. The kids loved the animals and it was the highlight of their stay – thanks!  P.S. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!”

Hynes family, January 2014 - Budle Haugh

The cottage was everything and more than we expected – beautifully furnished, fresh flowers, nice bottle of wine, every cooking utensil you ever needed, great outdoor areas with toys, books and games to keep our child happy and occupied.
